Laura is an Associate in the Business Law Group at Ross & McBride LLP.
Laura received her Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the bar in 2018. During her law studies, Laura volunteered at Pro Bono Ontario's Law Help Centre at the Toronto Small Claims Court and was actively involved in Osgoode's Real Estate Law Association where she served as President in her graduating year.
Prior to law school, Laura obtained her International Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) (iBBA) from the Schulich School of Business at York University. She profoundly enjoyed learning about business from an international perspective, and during her studies, completed an exchange at the University of Bath School of Management in England and a summer studies program at the University of Bologna in Italy.
Laura is fluent in Croatian and has been a passionate volunteer at the Croatian Sports and Community Centre of Hamilton. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, playing the guitar, and travelling.
Before joining the firm, Laura gained in-house legal experience at a title insurance company. At Ross & McBride LLP, her business law practice includes incorporations, corporate reorganizations, the purchase and sale of businesses, drafting shareholder and various other corporate/commercial agreements, and commercial leasing. Laura has also developed a particular focus on the area of construction law and is a holder of The Osgoode Certificate in Construction Law from Osgoode Hall Law School. She has become versed in different project delivery models, negotiating and drafting construction contracts, and the bidding/tendering process.
Laura is proud to be practising law in her hometown of Hamilton and looks forward to representing a variety of clients in corporate/commercial and construction law matters.
