Criminal Law - Legal Assistant/Clerk

Our Criminal Department is currently looking for a full-time experienced legal assistant/law clerk, who is able to work in a fast paced, extremely busy environment.
Scope & Responsibilities
The ideal individual will have 5+ years’ experience in the area of Criminal Law, maintain a daily diary and case management, filing Court documents, reviewing Crown Disclosure materials, drafting application materials, preparing case briefs for all stages relating to criminal law matters. The candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, have the ability to manage priorities to ensure all deadlines are met, be able to multi-task, complete work with great accuracy, work independently, follow instructions with minimal supervision, take initiative, when required, and be efficient with time management.
The candidate must be proficient in dicta-typing, possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, which are necessary to prepare and draft correspondence and legal documents, schedule meetings and communicate effectively with clients, lawyers, and other professionals.
