Jarrett Putt is an associate in Ross & McBride’s Business Law Group. He assists a range of business clients including small business owners, and charities and not-for-profit organizations. With strong roots in Haldimand County, where farming has long been central to the local economy, Jarrett has a keen interest in working with established and emerging agricultural businesses.
Jarrett also practices in the area of real estate law, where he enjoys working with both residential and commercial clients. He acts for seasoned buyers as well as first-time home buyers making their largest and most significant purchase.
Jarrett is adept at identifying the needs of his clients and providing practical advice to address those needs. He prioritizes connectivity and communication, ensuring that his clients are supported and informed through every step of their legal matter.
Building on his Hons. BA in Criminology from Wilfrid Laurier University, Jarrett received his Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy after completing his studies in the Dual Program at both institutions. During his legal studies, Jarrett actively participated in a variety of moots including the Zuber, ALTA and Labour Law Moot. He also completed a judicial externship with the honourable Judge Miriam Bazzi at the Wayne County Circuit Court in Detroit, Michigan and represented clients at the Criminal Law Clinic at the 36th District Court in Detroit, Michigan.
Outside of his practice, Jarrett is an active member of the Haldimand sports community, where he is the head referee for the Haldimand Soccer Club. In his spare time, Jarrett can be found on the golf course or cheering on the New Orleans Saints.
Jarrett looks forward to building his practice in Hamilton and Haldimand County, and to giving back to his community by helping businesses grow and succeed.
