About
Naz Bilgi is an associate in the Wills, Trusts & Estates Law Group with Ross & McBride.
Naz completed her legal studies at Queen’s University, during which time she demonstrated an acumen for engaging with the law as a means of both serving the public and gaining experience as an advocate. She volunteered at Pro Bono Students Canada, and Queen’s Legal Aid, where she was a caseworker involved in human rights cases, as well as issues brought before the Landlord and Tenant Board, and the Social Benefits Tribunal. As a summer law student, she interned with the Canadian Centre for Housing Rights.
She was also an executive member of the Queen’s Health Law Club, Queen’s Disability and Mental Health Law Club, Queen’s Art Law Club, and the Queen’s Law First-Generation Network, which provides academic support and community for students who are the first in their family to attend a post-secondary institution.
Prior to law school, Naz attended McMaster University, where she studied biology with a minor in mental health and aging. She made the Dean’s Honour List, and was a deeply committed volunteer in the local community.
Naz is currently active in the legal community: she is a member of the Hamilton Lawyers’ Club, the Canadian Muslim Lawyers Association, and the Medico-Legal Society of Toronto.
In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering in the non-legal world, cooking new dishes, and solo travelling to exciting new cities.
